JOB DESCRIPTION:
A growing boutique tax law firm in The Woodlands, Texas dedicated to helping individuals and businesses involved in disputes with governmental taxing authorities at the federal, state, and local levels. Our areas of practice include: IRS/State Tax Audits & Appeals, IRS Collection Matters, Business & Employment Tax, IRS Employment Tax Audits, Federal Asset Forfeiture, Criminal Tax Matters, Tax Controversies & Litigation, Property Tax Disputes, State and Local Tax Matters, Offshore Account Enforcement, and Cryptocurrency.
Open Position: Tax Attorney
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in tax controversy and tax law matters, a self-starter, personable, and motivated by opportunities for career advancement. The individual hired will be one that we believe has the desire and ability to eventually become a partner.
Responsibilities:
· Drafting legal memorandums and pleadings
· Dealing with IRS agents/officers
· Developing relationships with referral sources and other attorneys in the community
· Meeting deadlines
Requirements: Texas Bar License, A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in tax law (either from previous employment or participation in a tax clinic in law school)
Bonus/Preferred (but not required): LL.M. in Taxation, Accounting Undergraduate Degree, CPA license
